When the old people
Look into to the faces
Of the young people
So alive and alert
They see the future
That is
Becoming
They see the energy
The power of youth

When the old people
Hear the young people talk
They hear the sound of
Their own voices
As they once were
Themselves young
And ready for the world

And as the old people fade away
Into the history books
Of history
The young people
So alive!
So alert!
Will be busy making it!
