Holidays End - Poem by David Harris
Many times, I have written of goodbyes
at the end of a pleasant holiday,
and every time it is hard
because you do not want to go.
However, you can always look
forward to the next one,
hoping it will be sooner
than the one you just had.
It is sad as you say goodbye
to new friends you have made
and new faces you have seen.
In your mind, you will wonder
if any of them will cross your path again.
Time and fate only know the answer
as they take us on our way.
All we can do is cross our fingers
and hope it will happen
in the future one day.
