Holy War Poem by Balint Nagy

Holy War

Rating: 4.0

Fill the void in me
Open my eyes to see clearly
The beauty of oddity
Deliver me from my worst enemy

Light a spark in me
To help climb the tree of life
We are blinded by darkness -
Totally eclipsing the light

We live with phantom fears
For many years

Tell me,
Is it really just a matter of time,
To find our essence in life?
Will we ever be capable to get rid of the madness
That paralyzes our soul,
And put an end to this holy war?

Light the spark in me
Clear my overloading emotions
With massive energy

Ignite the fire inside me
To see beyond my everlasting dreams
Deliver me from all evil

We live with phantom fears
For many years

Tell me,
Is it really just a matter of time
To find our essence in life?
Will we ever be capable to get rid of the madness
That paralyzes our soul,
And put an end to this holy war?

Through decades we struggle in this holy war
But will we ever find the source, the meaning of it all?
BURN…TO EMERGE
During the search
We design our own universe

Tell me,
Is it really just a matter of time
To find our essence in life?
Will we ever be capable to get rid of the madness,
That paralyzes our soul,
And put an end to this holy war?
