Honesty - Poem by Leah Martens

Innocence, purity, honesty and kindness

Are these for real or do they just blind us

For what is underneath is the whole truth

But how do we reveal it without being spooked

Fear of losing someone makes us lie

The truth does not always lead to good bye

It may lead to a new hello

For it may not always hurt are foe

It is easier to hide then it is to share

But being honest shows that you care

Telling the truth is taking a chance

By the end it is all you have left
