Honor Poem by Oyekake Satty (O S) Joshua

Honor

Let evil not find me a friend
Nor my heart a refuge.
Keep away from my mind
And far away from my life
A line is drawn, and not on sand
You and I are no kindred spirits.

You comply for self gain
And I am bound by honor
Integrity is my best friend
If “wounds of honor are self-inflicted”
I stand here afflicted, not regrettably
‘tis an uncompromising price for honor,
