Honorable Politicians

Low-tone politicians
like Marie Antoinette*
are honorable
to not want us to know
what they're getting.

If we knew
we'd take it as carte blanche
to get what we want!

How honorable is that!
to not want us
to lower our tone.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
* Nick Xenophon calls Bronwyn Bishop this after her Melb-Geelong helicopter trip
COMMENTS OF THE POEM
Paul Warren 21 July 2015

There was a term that politicians used called having a helicopter view. It meant getting over the problem and looking at it in a holistic sense. Perhaps that's what Bishop wanted to do!
