Hoodwinks Sprinkled With Lots Of Dupe Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Hoodwinks Sprinkled With Lots Of Dupe

Upside down or cross eyed.
Hopping on one leg.
Or climbing to sit on the tallest tree.
Either way,
Few will agree...
That paid politicians,
Who hire the best lawyers in the World.
Could prevent the stopping of the corruption.
Everyone who voted to believe...
This kind of representation reflects,
How their lives and the quality of it...
Have improved to know,
Liars, thieves and deceivers...
Are pocketing as much cash as they can,
To benefit those homeless, hungry and hopeless.
And...
Exist on promises made to them.
While feasting discreetly in urban neighborhoods.
Keeping secretly silent about it.
As their needs are being met,
Privately in underground ceremonies.
Conducted by those stealing from the rich.
Just to give to the poor.
And protesting publicly as an act,
To distract the reality of the facts!
Either way...
Fiction to create it,
Has yet to deliver the goods...
To anyone claiming to feel fulfilled and satisfied.
After swallowing a bunch of B.S.
A scoop of hoodwinks sprinkled with lots of dupe!
