Hope Whispers Poem by Wild Grass Cad

Hope Whispers

Rating: 4.5

The poison was cast in the wind; thousands of eyes were left open by the souls who stared the world from beneath.
It was silence after the war;
and only the memory of numbness remembered the frightening sights of blood.
the smell of the dead goes through me.
A living dead? is it I?
hopeless..
I wanna scream but there's no sound
I wanna run but my knees tremble on the ground.
It's dark..
so dark...
that I can only see emptiness.
and only hear screaming of silence.
sob like a lost child.
Where's my happiness?
Where did it go?
Innocent laughter that's I wanna hear.Butterfly and colorful flowers that I wanna see. kisses and hugs that's I wanna feel.
They are gone.All gone now.
Alone as I walk,
with my bare feet
and empty mind
I thought that I am weak and yet still standing...
I am wounded and in great pain and yet still fighting.
I did not die.
I'm alive and so I can still fight.
My hope still lies...
now joy
is in my eyes.

I enjoyed immensely your free verse poem Hope Whispers. Your wording and descriptive phrases together provided for a most wonderful and gratifying reading experience. If you would be so kind, I would love to know who or what provided the inspiration for the writing. Regardless the motivation, keep doing what your doing and you will always have me as a fan.
