Once there was a teddy
who seemed to be unhappy
It was from an old factory
that was running in the city
The time it was made
The sewer only said
'let children be happy
in cuddling you teddy'
so it dreamt, wanted an owner
hoping they come sooner
either a little girl or a boy
to whom it could give joy
The world was a little busy
while the teddy stared blankly
only its dream to be noticed
is what it desired the least
The innocence with its dream
shone in its face as beam
the heart is lighted
the soul is gifted
The store door opened
and it was prepared
with a smile in its heart
proud as painted art
It was hoping and hoping
while days were passing
excitement was in its eyes
now jealous and hope ties
though it was excited too much
no one came to pick it up
for it remained to be ignored
and in a room, kept and stored
disappointed, ...
for it was left alone
its delight is now dull in tone
had walls as deaf listener
in the darkness at the corner
It had dreamt and desired..
to give kindness and love
Why its here being forgotten
by people it wanted to brighten?
made them a little happier
that a simple teddy could offer
but no one glanced, no one tried
it was alone no one in its side
Now the teddy accepted
that not every wish will be granted
it did it best but still unwanted
a simple teddy...
was forever rejected
Very wonderful expression and wise sharing. Nicely drafted....10
