Hot Bandwagon Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Hot Bandwagon

Thoughtless.
Inconsiderate.
Ungrateful.
Selfish and egotistical.

"And...
Knowing this for many years,
Means what to mention that now? "

Well...
At first I had heard,
They were selfish and egotistical.
Then later I discovered,
They treated others disrespectfully.
With an ungratefulness no one deserves.
And when I observed them being,
Inconsiderate, demeaning.
Cruel and thoughtless.
I believed it to be an act.
I had no idea,
They could actually be that kind person.

"And...
Over the many years,
To have heard this to then observe.
Why is it important,
To come forward and mention that now? "

It's all about 'The Benjamins'.

"The what the who? "

The 'Bucks'!

"I don't understand.
The Milwaukee Bucks? "

Nooo.
My book deal.
And...
As incredible as it is,
The last chapter ends in Wisconsin.
And I'm telling you,
Right now that bandwagon I'm on,
Can not get too hot!
