Hot Summer Night Poem by Dorsey Baker

Hot Summer Night

Rating: 5.0

she loved him strong
when he was younger
but now he is a smelly old man
she can no longer stand
so she gives her love
away to a stranger when
she is burning
on a hot summer night

she feels no guilt
she feels no fear
she shows no shame
she sheds no tear
when she gives her love
away to a stranger
when she is burning
on a hot summer night

she drinks some brandy
she loves the smell
of his aroma
the taste of his kiss
and the way he holds her
when they embrace
