How Can This Be

pink fluted baskets
construction paper weave
the pink with the green
floated mid air
on a dream stream
how can this be
time warp from a second grade classroom
former may basket springs
nestling speckled candy eggs
luscious, filled with cream
came to my window
In later years, food stamps delayed,
a little stale,
chocolate migration,
but welcome.
