You were a lady of the night
I was a street bum
Baby look at yourself
look at me
look how far we've come

as we eat our breakfast
of bacon and eggs
and drink our cups of coffee
looking back
on where we come from

we have learn to live
and we have learned to laugh
and its all because of God
that we have what we have
