How Far Will They Take Me? Poem by Anam Rizvi

How Far Will They Take Me?

'You're quiet.Don't like speakin?
You aint gonna survive out there for long mate.
You've got to have power.
You've got to scream your lungs out.
The world's a tough place mate.
The strong survive and the weak...
Well forget about them.
They're not woth mentionin
They disappear.Some never seen again.
They die before they're born.
They're killed and their carcasses only serve as filth on streets.
Say somethin.
Why don't you? '

'Ah.You want me to say something.
Well, you asked for it.
I don't know the world you come from.
It certainly is'nt the world i've seen.
I see a world in which there is laughter in childrens' eyes.
There is hope in every heart,
A desperate will to survive in one's soul.
You say i must be powerful.
All i have, is the power of my dreams.
The power to believe.
I do not know if it is strong.
it is true.
I know this power will never leave me.
All i have is the power of my love.
Love for this world and the one above.
My dreams and My love,
My love and My dreams.
How far will they take me?
