HOW HE'S THINKING ABOUT HIS FAMILY Poem by Washington Cucurto

HOW HE'S THINKING ABOUT HIS FAMILY

Look at him,
how he's thinking about his family
kissing all the crazy girls in the nastiest corners
they aren't even the prettiest
but yeah, the pig-nastiest!
Look at him,
doing the most undesirable things,
smoking pot and lying to tons of people
with his community project.
He's like a toad in the deep part of a ditch
no better than that . . . a toad . . .
Tall and dark, like some Andean god.
When he brings a bottle of beer to his lips
it's so beautiful he looks like Alcibiades.
But don't get yourselves confused,
feminine hearts.
He's a scourge.

Look at him,
a block away from his house!
Making out with a guy from the park
like they were Moon and Mystery.
And after he'll say that he's thinking about his family . . .
