How I Write Poems Poem by Jayatissa K. Liyanage

How I Write Poems

Shutting all doors to the external chive
allow inner being to become active
As feelings start bubbling up, from dive
turn some in to characters, to go in hive

Rearrange them in patterns, lovable
readable, listenable and memorable
Make it, if possible a bit sensational,
allow then, to season and mature, as well

Temper, garnish and serve
for the self-server to enjoy
let the taster judge it's worth
true to his/her conscience
