How Important Was Our Life Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

How Important Was Our Life

Rating: 5.0

Looking out over the world, studying and learning what we've been taught, all the possibilities in our lives that we've overlooked or didn't want to be bothered with.

Stopping at times to think back, remembering those path-
ways we were going to take, but changed our minds, know-
ing all the opportunities we lost or left behind were gone.

Being too lazy to contemplate them, now looking back and wondering why we never did pursue our passion, essence and desires.

Asking ourselves why didn't we grasp and use those things
we'd learned to bring peace to the world, rid our planet of poverty and sickness and fulfill our purposes.

How important was our life in the scheme of humanity any way? Why didn't we do more, leaving our mark in the history of our births, lives and death for others to learn by?
