How Love Hurts Poem by Pen Anthony

How Love Hurts

Rating: 5.0

It's painful seeing your loved
Growing all cold towards you
It hurts more knowing it's not in your control
To intervene and change their heart
Guilt builds up in you

Quit, the thought seduces you
Yet you have a thousand excuses
To hold on to hope the love reignites
The nights are torture they're all you think about
The fights you should have never had.

Your head is chaotic
Your heart wounded
You've been hurt
Yet never had it this rough
Because you're still in love

You'll do anything to win them back
Yet every effort feels like biting water
There's nothing more to lose you tell yourself
You hate yourself for still holding on for it's maiming you.
