How We Live - Poem by Fernanda Arambula
Why do we always try to hide from the truth?
Why do we hide from people we dont want to see?
Why do we always have to make it harder on ourselves?
We try to hide from the truth all the time because we know it hurts.
We know that if we do we will have no problems anymore.
But that's not the way it should be though.
We should always face the truth even when it hurts.
The truth is important.
Sometimes the truth will help you prevent so many worries.
It can save you so much time from arguing with yourself and others.
We hide from people we dont want to see for many reasons.
-we dislike them
-we have financial problems with them
-they might have caught you red-handed
-or they could've broken your heart
But you cant hide forever, and anyone that thinks they can...Think again
Those people may haunt you back.
I dont think that there is any reason why people should hide.
We should just confront them.
No matter what it takes to get to them.
We make it hard on ourselves because that way we always hope that the pain will go away.
We always hope that by talking about how hard it is, that we might find someone to help.
There's always going to be that one thing that will bother you but you'll keep it to yourself.
That's how we live.
