Human Needs Poem by PRAVEEN KUMAR English Poems

Human Needs

Needs tread on compulsive field,
And needs wield abnormal force
To wade through an uphill route;
Needs are prime seeds of deeds,
Oft lead to and feed grisly greed,
And enroute field reactive feud.

Needs are in mode of one way trade
To reach goal in whatever mould
In double march without a hold;
Needs are fuels, punishing gruels
In onward march of the mankind
To free his lot from scarce world.

No needs? No world, no progress,
All is dull immobile death trap,
No joy, no grief, no gain or loss;
Needs make life live, a beehive
With goals in front; needs, back,
Driving human life to hot pursuit.

Needs like sun, bring light and night,
Needs infuse rise and fall through life;
A life without needs is grave quietude,
A world without needs, barren stillness
Without a sprout and without a rush,
Where no gods ever peep, no liveliness.

Needs on need is a rightful field;
Needs on greed is protective shield,
No compunction there, no compulsion,
An impulse to hoard for future needs
At cost of true needs, leads to feuds
To stir conflicts, wars, loss and fall.
