Humanity Poem by Amber Piercy

Humanity

Humanity

Running out of my mind which way do I go
Is up on the downside I don't even know
The struggling emotions are beating me to the ground
My soul is shattered without a sound
The endless pit of feelings describes my world
Upchucking madness my gravity has been hurled
Under this sun my flesh burns
I feel inside out as my gut churns
Bubbling to the brim into this voidless sanity
Asking God please don't take away his humanity
