Humanly Incorrect Poem by Sandra Feldman

Humanly Incorrect

Rating: 5.0

Pardon me, but I must say,
That today,
All barriers are down,
Circuses with many a clown,
All going to town,
Toppings not so sound,
On our Vanilla-Vinegar Sunday,
Society collapsing,
Nobody takes the rap,
Getting ready or here already,
The dumbest times,
Since the Middle Ages,
Darkness and ignorance rages.

Going to the Moon,
Traveling in Space,
All technical advances,
Seem to have been in vain,
Have even made us worse, perhaps?
Than we already were,
Converting us into a Sub-Human race,
Politically subservient
To whomever dispenses more
Of the blinding rain,
Thinking we're getting,
Our due pay, just the same.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Decadence and corruption will be the cause and winners of our demise
Just look at the presidential candidates we have, right and left and don't smile.

Nobody takes the rap- -the most poignant sentence in your very good poem.
