Humble Fisherman Poem by HSJ HSJ

Humble Fisherman

Rating: 4.5

4'o clock and the alarm flashes
You have been up since 3
Your lunch a sandwich and some
Coffee freshly made in a flask

The moon and stars greet's you as you
Step outside fresh the salty air
As you make your way down to the docks

She is old, her hull a picture of
Rust and touch up paint.
She rises up as to greed you
When you board her

Second turn of the key and she
Sails on to the sea
You feel her hull vibrate happy
As she feels your love for her

Nets casted and fish pulled in
You smile as the world is right
The sea gave you what you needed
Your soul at peace

For you a humble fisherman
No gold or silver
Just a perfect day at sea
