Humble Hero Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

Humble Hero

Being in the wrong place at the right time
Is it questionable… or is it fate
What could have been an irreversible tragedy
turns out to be a miracle first rate

Taking a wrong turn… on an unfamiliar road
Coming upon disaster… able to assist
Lives saved… otherwise would have been lost
Just by chance… not on the to do list

Finding super human strength and bravery
in situations that are beyond comprehension
Ordinary people become rescuing heros
Did they do what anyone would have done...

Modestly they acknowledge facing danger
without hesitation… prepared for showtime
It is only with humbleness they acknowledge
Being in the wrong place at the right time
