Hungry They Sleep Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Hungry They Sleep

Rating: 5.0

Hungry they sleep

Once again media
-talks and talks of famine and Darfur
-talks and talks will there be any use?
-any help and success? Don't lose hope!

But the talks are shallow
-small waves on surface by willow

Fin the depth in Kariz
-chain of wells for leading
-the water to the farms; by canal
-joining them like thread of cloaks
-and patches on clothes

I flew Hercules
-LF and ELF, ULF
-Asians, and Europe, USA…

My cargo politics
-in form of logistics

Sudan was one of them
-to Gaafar Nimeiry
-the leading officer, socialist
-as was the known Nasser in Egypt

And we were dogs of dog of White House
-officers to the shah of Iran
-we hunted for masters
-with the gifts and bribes
-the list was very long
-among them Lesotho's filthy king

We fought wars
-in Mid-Way of Yemen
-India-Pakistan
-the deaths and homelessness
-the orphans and cries and murders
-genocides and deep wound and the hate
-are of then…I was part
-all planned by White House

If the American people only really knew about the evils committed by the CIA and FBI, they would have many a nightmare. Thank you for your profound honesty in this thought-provoking poem. Very well done.
