The first in 12 years to make landfall in the
United States with massive impact.
Hurricane Harvey was a whooping category 4
With lots of heavy rain and wind.
In many areas the water level reached
As high as street signs.
I was shocked......
I had to reach out to a close friend
That lives in Texas.
Thank God, they were ok.
My heart and prayers goes out to others
That are directly affected by this historic
Event.
It's amazing how the world comes together
In tragedies such as these.
They travel from far and near
Coming as one big community to be of service.
I'm amazed and grateful to see such acts.
My prayers are not only for those affected,
But also those that are lending a helping hand.
May God bless them all... Collectively.

Poignant, and sobering, I like how you walk the fine line between Free &Prosaic Verse...Well Done & glad your friend is safe...Someone undeniably stoked the fire of Mother Natures Wrath this Hurricane season! We're already up to 'M' which means 12 Hurricanes were born thus far, this year, with technically 4-6 weeks to go before Hurricane probabilities blow off. Keep that pen pumping, young lady ~FjcR~
Oh yes, the earth is overly active this hurricane season. It's so kind of you to comment, Frank. Thank you, and do stay blessed.
