Hushed Thoughts Poem by Abeer Nesradin

Hushed Thoughts

Rating: 4.5

'I feel it slowly eating parts of my brain' she says.
As I watched her disconnect with the world and let her thoughts sink in, losing touch with reality.
Delusional is what they call her,
when she detailed what frightened her the most.
She has been suffering a serious condition of 'Paranoia',
or as they call it 'Personality disorder'.
It has been eating parts of her brain for months now,
stealing her thoughts and secrets,
but this morning she woke up wanting to feed them.

A good depiction of an attack by one's own mind - a mind that is irritable, paranoid and humourless. A well articulated piece of poetry insightfully penned in poetic diction with conviction. A lovely poem indeed. Thanks for sharing Abeer. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.

Love, at least in romantic terms, is a disorder. Pleasant as it may seem. Thanks, Abeer

Well, as you say love heals any disorder what if love caused the disorder?
