I Am A Member Poem by Deluke Muwanigwa

I Am A Member

Rating: 5.0

Senile dementia
It's dimension
Memory loss
No longer the boss
The boss of you
Who knew?
The vibration
The Iteration
Your existence
The distance
You've come
Burdensome.
'What's your name, Sir? '
What's left of your faculties
Meshing gears with difficulties
You can't remember
'I am a member'
Welcome to the club.
No need for subs
You clocked the miles
Smile
So many scars
Was it from Sars?
Accident in car?
Fight at the bar?
A fall on the tar?
Did you see stars?
You can't remember
'I am a member'
You retort in anger
'It was in December'
'Umm...maybe September'
'No, November! '
Sigh!
A sign of the times.
