I Am A Poet. Poem by duke perry abrokwa

I Am A Poet.

Rating: 5.0

I am a poet, meaning I use words to create  my  world.
Just like the painter, my words  can paint the skylines and turn blues into a music genre.

I am a poet, meaning I value  words  and give values to words.
Just  like  a psalmist, I use Literary devices as my second language and make simile sounds like metaphor, I word play.

I  am poet, meaning I am a creative.
Just like an artist,   I use my words to create  places  you may never  be  and walk my audience into places  they may  never  see.

I am a poet, meaning I am the controller of emotions
Just like the Psychologist, I use my words to  comfort the broken heart, give smiles to the deserves and wipe smiles of the face of the wicked.

I am a poet; I know  how to express my love in  1000 words and a thought  in 10,000 words.

I am a poet.
I am poet.
Just like God's image, I create the world with my words. Just as he said 'let there be light.' My poetry lights up a dark room with smiles.
I am a poet, darling.
Meaning I am a spoken word artist, and I feed of your applause.
Thank you.
