I Am Anything But A Writer Poem by Meeran Jamal

I Am Anything But A Writer

Rating: 5.0

I am anything but a writer
And not a poet either
Still sometimes words escape like sunlight
Only making the day brighter
But once on the paper
I lose the ownership title
They are free, not mine, not yours, not anyone's to be claimed
Might bring joy, solace or total distress for which no one can be blamed

I am anything but a writer
And not a poet either
Still sometimes words come out like bullets from gun of a snipper
obsessively, incessantly, and nothing can stop that either
Its better to let them go, as keeping them inside only builds a storm
to be honest they weren't mine from the start, whether in any form
I wish I wrote more often to relieve the brain of any action
Who knows it might make me think less and bring a little bit of satisfaction…
