I Am In A Strange Dance (Verso Xxii) Poem by Reva Kern

I Am In A Strange Dance (Verso Xxii)

I am in a strange dance
Of stockings and jacket
Given by hunters
At the end of the year

A duchess in violet
Goes with a red tail coat
Mark a painted viscount
Keeping time on the tambourine

And the red doublets
Pass the taffeta of fire
Like in front of a blind man
With leaves flying by
