I laugh
A thousand springs rush
Down the mountain slope
The swing of my hips as I walk
Ripples in the calm water of the lake
I am no caged bird
Women envy my freedom
Men swarm around me
Enchanted and cluttered
No wisdom in my words
Nor subdued hints of passions
They clamour for my voice
I talk they listen
Smile at my words
Make silly demands
Content to lie at my feet fawning
Tongues hanging out
Saliva dripping down
Eyes rolling in the sockets
Bark like dogs ready to bite
As I turn my back and walk out
Stepping over the straggling group
Again I laugh aloud
A thousand springs rush down
I am no caged bird.
A phenomenal woman lives in every age with a fresh spirit unsubdued always! ! !
