I Am Not The Moment You Find Me Poem by Jaya Das

I Am Not The Moment You Find Me

Rating: 5.0

I am not the moment you find me
a little bit more: few years or a day
few colors have embellished my brown skin
others have faded on the way—
subsided in the deeper parts,
none of them I am keen to show
I cannot hide them all for very long
you can discover a few if you stay,
yet the moment you find me
it is me who has lived these many days.
