I Am Nothing But A Man Poem by Adams King

I Am Nothing But A Man

Rating: 3.0

Who am I?
Am I not man
He that is blinded by the pleasures of the earth
A lover of wine and things of the flesh
Who had lust after women, fame and wealth
Have I not done deeds blacker than coal

Who am I?
Am I not man
He that loves and hates
He that gives and takes
Have I not pretend for so long to be good
Have I not snatch other men's belongings

Who am I?
Am I not man
An enemy of peace, a discriminator
Have I not separated myself from those of little income
from the lowborn and those not alike with me

Who am i?
Am I not man
With a devilish tongue
An unforgivable being with a hard heart
Have I not rain curses on my fellow men
Have I not wish to make them slaves

Who am I?
Am u not man
He who prays no one should be better
than his stupid self
Have I not done things satanic and spiritual
Just to provide setback for the others

Who am I?
Am I not man
A jealous fool
Have I not wished I was God
The ultimate judge of all
So as to chose who to live or die

Who am I?
Am I not man
Who can never change
from his dubious ways, deadly and cranny, treacherous and murderous
and still I grow to say "I am holy"

Who am I?
Am I not man
An evil accomplisher
The devil's instrument
Will I cease being a man
For "I am nothing but a man"
