I Have Jesus Poem by Adams King

I Have Jesus

Rating: 5.0

I might not have the world
Nor the dreams I dreamt of
I might have no gold nor silver
Just like the biblical Peter

I might not have a home
Nor a coin to call my own
I might not be beautiful
Nor be wiser than a fool

I might have no jet nor car
Or a horse to ride me far
I'm just a common man
Nothing better than a beggar

I'm a man of no education
Striving with a bleak future
Several times I have failed
And wallow in the filth of shame

I might have no shoes nor bags
Dressed in my tattered rags
But I have my darling Jesus
Who carried my sinful cross

I might not know the president
Nor great and powerfulmen
But I know my darling Jesus
I know God'sown first son

I might look ugly and dirty
And have my plates and pots empty
I might not have what you have
But I'm rich with the JesusI have
