I am overwhelmed with joy
As you untap your lips
And sing me a melodious song.
I would live through a million moons
To hear your sweetest tune, Hu.
Your song frees me from
the fear of the unknown,
Emanating from the dark shades
Of illusion, delusion, superstition---
the strange and horrific
demons thriving within.
It grants me spiritual strength,
Like salt from pink rocks.
Even at the final hour of
my transcendence to next life,
I will be listening to your song.
I walk in sleep, listening,
And ascending to the heights,
where your voice call soars.
I am never in haste to close
my heart's ear—
Keep singing, and I will listen
With sacred devotion, undisturbed
In your presence, the bell sound.
