I am ready to immerse, to live in its echoes.
How I long for that divine voice to call me—
Whether from the mount or within the cave,
Where I speak with the Divine and receive the verses of true wisdom.
How I long for that call, as Moses heard,
From the fire—the Beloved's voice within.
Then I, too, shall wander to Tur and speak to my Lord,
Or retreat to my cave of Hira within, to hear the holy speech.
At last, to my calls and my love,
I will hear the Beloved's reply:
'Love will always connect you to Me,
No matter how far you seem.
To the Spring of Abundance, where you drink inspiration,
Or the distant, aloof winter,
Where your soul rests, awaiting its revival.
Anywhere, but always now and here—
This is My grace upon you.
Hold My hand close to yours,
And I will pull you nearer to the shore
Of the promised paradise,
Where you will love and be loved.'
