I Am Taking You On A Journey Poem by Kasia Fedyk

I Am Taking You On A Journey

Rating: 2.8

I am reading a book of imagination
the book is large and heavy
my fingers gently touching the cover
-deep cherry leather so smooth
with threads of gold that run along the edges
crafted with precision
the pattern is mystical, I can hardly describe it,
it's absolutely breathtaking,
-a velvet luster dancing in visual telepathy
I can't get enough
what I see is astonishing
what I feel is exuberance
I open the book, my hands are trembling,
from excitement,
I am turning the pages one by one
I dive into the contents from the first glance
its magical,
like slow dancing with the stars
and looking straight in the eye of the milky way
suddenly,
I stop on one page that inhaled me, like no other
I am taking you with me on a journey,
somewhere on a mountain top, among tall trees where
birds are flying, all kinds, they are beautiful, so beautiful,
all different colors, some tiny, some large
I smell a scent of pure bliss in the air that is so crisp
and fresh,
I have never smelled anything like that before, ever
I know you can smell it too, I just know.
I feel the soul of this place and its beating heart
I have to close my eyes and embrace this exquisite
moment.
I see a small wooden house, it looks so cozy and warm,
white smoke is coming out from the chimney disappearing
after a while and disintegrating into the pure air.
Warmth of the light coming from the house
is so delicate and so comforting like a lullaby
I have never felt anything like that before
-coming from just a lamp.
Someone is standing on the porch, I see him
he is older, he is just standing there looking at something, his warm smile speaks to me,
his eyes are like shining stars, they look so kind and loving
I find such comfort in them,
he has a white beard so perfectly groomed, his beard looks like a valley covered in snow, I swear, I can almost see snowflakes dancing.
now I notice what he was staring so lovingly towards
a little boy, hopping bouncing with so much joy, his golden hair is straight, his eyes blue like the sky, his pale skin has rosy cheeks and tiny dimples accent his precious smile, he is so little and seems so fragile, his aura is so pure and gentle, I can see the colors around him, and angels by his side in their white silky ropes and golden belts with halos above their heads that glow.
The boy suddenly stops and looks at the man standing on the porch, his radiant smile melts me, and in his soft voice he tells him,
I love you Grandpa
I love too my Angel
