I Am, That I Am Poem by Aileen Figueroa

I Am, That I Am

Rating: 4.2

I am the vein that travels within
the petals of a red rose.

I am the early summer breeze that
blows gently over the fresh green meadow.

I am the bridge that joins the two
giant mountains together.

I am the bird that sits on your window
ledge and stretches its wings
as you innocently smile.

I am a tall stack tree
which many have... called home.

I am the path that shimmers
within the sun light.

I am the brightly colored fruit
that bursts in your mouth,
sweet and sower juices.

I am the laughter of children
that swings from the apple tree
on an old black rubber tire.

I am, thatI am... and much more.

I am always and forever more here, in you.

I am the very first step
that man took on the Moon.

I am the lion that gains
the respect of the jungle.

I am a ballerina that perfectly dances
on her tippy toes, to the melody
tunes of the violins.

I am, that I am...
