You Silly Snow Poem by Aileen Figueroa

You Silly Snow

Rating: 5.0

Tap, tap, tap, and gentle taps.
Millions of snowflakes passed
by my bedroom window this
morning.The wandering Snowflakes
wonder, what was I still doing
inside my bed?

I said, 'Ha, ha… You silly Snow.
Didn't you realize
what today is?
It's Saturday Morning'

My Blankey and Pillows
whispered in my ears saying,
'Do not go out there,
stay here instead.
We will reward you with
a cuppa hot chocolate,
with whipped cream and
marshmallows'.

I smiled with
Warmth and Comfort,
as Pillow, Blankey and I
watched the Jealous
Snowflakes fall and
pass us by.
