I Asked The Lord This Question Poem by Franklin Spriggs

I Asked The Lord This Question

Rating: 5.0

Sitting around the house one day,
I stopped to consider this,
Why am I upon this earth,
If it's Heaven that I miss?

So I asked the Lord of Heaven,
Could you please tell me why,
You have brought me into this world,
And here was his reply.

My dear son Franklin,
Before the universe would ever be,
I had you in my heart in love,
By faith you came from me.

I made the Heavens and the Earth,
A temporary place to call home,
You had to leave me for a while,
But I left you not alone.

I put music and poetry in your heart,
To share with others all around,
To tell the message of my love,
And where it can be found.

So do not be weary my son,
Your coming home I promise you,
Just share with all the people,
What I have shared with you.
