I burn the candle at both ends
and wait to feel the pain.
Those that observe this unseemly act
will say, “she is insane.”
But sanity comes from peace in my heart
when my heart stamps out the flame,
awaiting the time when I’ll feel loved.
And never again will be blamed
for burning the candle at both ends.

It is the Poet's right to be slightly, insane, For like that, better he can write, And his efforts are not, in vain. Your effort here was not in vain. Very nicely written and good rhythm
