I'd said
the trails will be abandoned
and you never believed

I'd said
the doors will get shut
and you paid no heed

I'd said
the flower pots on the terrace
will dry up
and there will be a heap of parched leaves
in the porch
and you didn't listen

I'd said
the reserves of grains and love
will not be sufficient
and you never paid attention

I'd said
the people will get killed
not in the wars but
by an unseen pandemic and loneliness
and you just ignored
