I Do Apologize Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

I Do Apologize

I do apologize

In distance
There is a Caravanserai
On the sand and under the clear night-sky
Dirtied with millions of spots,
The so called stars
Walk camels
Caravans
Horses
Mules
And their fathers
Led by Sarebans wearing a cummerbund.

There
In distance
Flickers a candle
Many see, head for
None see the fat in it
Burning and burning and…

Shams
You are the fat
Rumi is the flicker
Many see, head for
None see the fat in it
Burning and burning and…

I do apologize
Apologize I do.

I wish I was a comet
A dying star that
Acted like a
Lighting
Worm
In the very dark nights
In this uncivilized desert of civilization.
