I Do, We Do Poem by Mahfooz Ali

I Do, We Do

The planting of intertwined wood, I am told
Is a symbol of marriage from long and old
Telling of two becoming as one
Living together growing with Sun
But just as the dew acts as the catalyst
So can we make a mockery of this
As Soul burns through with vicious flame
So we destroy with our blame.
