I Found A Lucky Penny Poem by Donald R Wolff JR

I Found A Lucky Penny

I found a lucky penny, I think I'll make a wish
So here is one for mommy, who never asked for this
I wish for her to be happy; To know it's not the end
My daddy is with Jesus, and she needs to love again

There is magic in this penny I'm holding in my hand
I'm only asking something that is not that hard to give
When the chill is in her heart; We all cuddle in one bed
Holding on to what we all have left

I'm asking for my mommy, A penny wish today
My mommy is unhappy because my daddy went away
We need to complete our family, So I'm asking if I can
To take my wish and bring my mom a friend

Be my lucky penny; Please grant me this one wish
It is time for us to be happy as a family once again
I know you are imaginary, You still might understand
The loving feeling when a home is felt within

I have a lucky penny, I used my only wish
It is time to leave my penny for another needing it
I hope they will be happy as I am with my new dad
Sometimes a wish is the only thing we have
