I Guess It's Just Reality. Poem by Hannah York

I Guess It's Just Reality.

Magnetism that pulls us together
Your smile warms my body
Like chemistry and romantic sonnets
Your eyes take over me
Pulling us together

Strings across the corridor
Watching glints in staring eyes
Do they see what I see?
Or am I just mistaken?

The heart wrench when I know you don't feel it
You play with people
That's your game
It takes over you
It used to take over me

Now your words cloak my eyes
My mind is curled around your memory
I can't play that game anymore
You've made a fool of me.
