I Have Watched You 24/7 Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

I Have Watched You 24/7

I am no stranger.
I have watched you.
Closer than most.
To both observe and feel,
A reality...
No one has to describe,
As true or not...
Or to leave me to delude.
That I choose to believe,
My lieing eyes.
Has nothing to do,
With anyone who fantasizes...
What it is they see or hear,
From others to accept.
I have watched you.
And not from rumors or gossip,
To pass it.
I am no stranger.
Nor do I seek to be entertained,
By nonsense.
Many may find as part of life lived,
For them too serious to ignore.

Don't get me wrong.
We all need laughter in our lives.
Now and then.
But the 'now' without a 'then',
To remain with no ending to begin...
Becomes too serious to overlook,
A truth to face...
Has been replaced with a craze 24/7!
