I Ink And Hence I Am Poem by Aniruddha Pathak

I Ink And Hence I Am

I ink public faces to prove I'm,
To provoke has patterned my emblem,
I do what pays me rent
Never once to repent,
Tigers if change no stripes who'd them blame?

A leader from a political party (compared with a tiger)blackened the face of a rival party leader in a public function in front of TV cameras. An ancient philosopher had said, ‘I think, therefore I am.This man can say: I ink, therefore I am. True, tigers cannot their stripes change, nor can leopards their spots. Political parties in this world's biggest democracy have hardly changed.
