I Know The Joy

I know the joy of thankfulness
Praise God I've been redeemed
What a release came when I repented of sin
And I became born again
The Spirit brought it home to me
I was saved by the blood of the Lamb
I now had Christ and I had the Father
His child now forever I am

I cannot explain for the life of me
The joy...that then took hold
Nor the peace that flooded my heart
As the Spirit Himself took control
I knew I was a new creature in Christ
His holiness now I felt
My sins were forgiven...every last one
And His grace was now with me for help

I now knew the joy that was set before Him
For I... a lost sinner came
For it was for me that He endured the Cross
All praise be unto His name
Jesus...precious Jesus Christ
That name that is above all others
None other name has such power to save
Hallelujah...Hallelujah my brothers!

Hallelujah what a Saviour!
